A worthy follow-up

Was suspicious of this part 2 of a genuinley terrifying first movie. Part 2's of any film tend to be very inferior. This IS inferior, but only just - as there are some truly nasty and frightening sequences on offer here - and the awful sense of claustraphobia that was present in the first movie is still very evidentWhere it fails is in the slightly unbelivable notion that our heroine, after escaping the first time, and so traumatized by the experience that she couldnt remember anything, goes willingly back into the caves when really she should have been kicking and screaming in hysteria - no way could her memory loss not be immediately jogged by the sight of the caves again. And then when she does remember, she runs INTO the cave system instead of screaming to get out! I think it would have been more effective if they had made her a little more vulnerable and fragile instead of turning her immediately into uber-warrior woman. Couldnt quite get my head around this bit.Also whats the chances of running into juno again (even if you could your head around the fact that she survived the first movie when she faced about two dozen of the creatures) when the cave system itself is presumably hundreds of miles of winding ups and downs?Also again the creatures seem too easily beaten in a fight, especially considering one scene near the end when one of the creatures picks someone up with one hand and throws them like a rag doll, signifying great strength.Anyway thats just a few gripes. Overall i loved the film. it was fast-paced, exciting and very atmospheric, with really disturbing images throughout. And i loved the ending too, which was very unexpected and well doneA very nice couple of movies then. Now...what about part 3?
