Dover Thrift Edition 2015 print

Amazon has an annoying habit of lumping all the reviews for a certain title all together in one place, irrelevant of which copy/issue/publication it is. As a consequence there are a number of reviews stating "don't buy this; poor copy" but yet, doesn't specify which copy it is that is poor.I recently bought the a new copy of the Dover Thrift Edition of William Blake's Songs Of Innocence & Songs Of Experience. And it is everything you would expect from a Dover Thrift Edition; the printing and binding are fine. There is a Contents page as well as an Alphabetical List of First Lines and Alphabetical List of Titles.

A good buy, but could have been so much better with a bit of thought

Good stuff1. It contains the Poems2. the poems are the work of genius3, it is a cheap editionLess Good Stuff1. unlike the "look inside" preview the illustrations are not in colour2. The spacing of the poems is bizarre "the Fly" has one line at the bottom of page 32, the the majority of the poem is on page 33, interrupted by a black and white illustration and two lines on page 34.nothing on spine so difficult to pick out on a bookshelf

Buy a different edition. This version doesn't have the illustrations, and doesn't have book title or poet name listed on the spine. Will be a tricky task finding this item on a bookshelf once stacked. Not impressed. Tempted to send back and request a refund. You can download all the poems printed in this version for free online (perfectly legally).
