A great introduction into the world of Tableau.

A great introduction into the world of Tableau.I have been using Tableau for a few weeks before getting this book, it offers a great introduction into how to use Tableau effectively and getting the most out of your data. It also has a handy reference to the functions that you can use within Tableau to create calculated fields and examples with varying complexity.It is a high quality print with full colour illustrations and thick pages which gives the book an overall good quality feel. This makes it well worth the money spent on it.

Careful who you buy it from and what version you have

I paid extra to buy it from Barnsley Books on the basis that they said they would despatch quickly as my wife wanted it quickly. They did despatch quickly ...but turned out to be in India, so it took a while to arrive, although within the overall estimate.It's the Indian version, and the paper is thin enough to see through to the reverse, which isn't great for stuff that's supposed to be about the visuals.If you have Tableau 9, the screen in how to get started doesn't look like the one in the pic, which is a little disconcerting when you're just getting going. When you get further into things, and have a genuine query, it's not much help to be told to find an advanced user as the solution.

Well packaged and with no damage. Was delivered on time but left under the door mat which is not desirable.The contents is detailed and easily referenced and understandable. Very good use of colour graphics.
