Didn't like it very much

I will be honest - i did not like this book very much.It was very confusing to me and did not make me want to read more of it. I had to force myself to finish it because I had heard the series were amazing . I would recommend the Dark Tower series to everyone I talk to, but i would warn them that the 1st book in the series takes some getting used to and will to finish.

Excellent story telling with great characters that you really care about.

The "Gunslinger" series is an epic story with characters that you really, really care about, a great story of a long journey, with plenty of adventure on the way and relationships that develop in a fully believable way.There's plenty of excitement, excellent use of time/history to keep you wondering exactly when this might be taking place and some effective use of invented language, with just enough humour to occasionally relieve the tension. I can't read the books in this series fast enough!

Excellent book, the series finally finds its feet and the plot runs at break-neck speed. A wonderful post apocalyptic world, excellently described with a gripping plot. 4 stars because ending didn't quite seem to fit the build up.
