Useful info in a nicely accessible form (and fun!)

A wonderful way of introducing children to the joys of human biology. My own children got the introduction to the facts of life from this wonderful book of machines, in a simple and noncontroversial way. They were actually more interested in the page showing how the body fights germs. I bought this newer edition for a friend with a seven-year-old; I gather he's delighted.

Easy explanations for a curious mind

I bought this for my 4 year old and although she doesn't understand all the text I am reading she can see from the pictures what is going on. Having tummy troubles and visiting the hospital was very confusing for her so this book helped us explain how the body functions!! It is intended for an older child but obviously depends on the childs ability to take in information.

brilliant book a must for any childs book shelf

This is a great book you can probably get a more updated copy than mine as I just gave my kids the copy I had when I was their age yes I liked it enough to keep it for my future kids ! However I'm assuming it won't have changed too much lolI like my kids love this book it has fun pictures, easy to understand even for young children. It covers everything they need to know from what happens to food when you eat it, how the body moves, explains about balance, sight, how ears, lungs, blood, and other organs work pretty much everything including where babies come from, and all wonderfully explained with fun pictures of robots, fuzzy blobs of bacteria, little people who fight bacteria and they help show you what the different parts of the body do and of course pictures of children explaining things too , all in all this book is brilliantly put together
